Ravishankar Ramamurthy is a disciple of the Carnatic Violin maestro Lalgudi G. Jayaraman. The Lalgudi bani (style of music) is one of the most distinctive styles of Carnatic instrumental music which can eloquently capture the mood and essence of any composition. Ravi has been performing in the Seattle area as an accompanist and as well as a solo artist. He has a Ph.D. in Computer Sciences from University of Wisconsin, Madison and is currently working for Microsoft.
